Serious Subtraction
We are learning to solve subtraction problems using whole and decimal numbers.
Times Table Practice:
3 x 3 = 9 5 x 5 = 25 8 x 7 =56 12 x 10 = 120 4 x 6 = 24 5 x 7 = 35 2 x 4 = 8 3 x 8 =24 9 x 8 =72 4 x 7 =36 9 x 7 = 63
345 + 385 = 730
847 + 126 = 973
674 + 586 = 1260
Your sister gives you $125 to spend on lollies. If you spend $65 how much money would you have left over?120-60=80/80-10=70
She then gives you $234 more. How much money do you have now?
70 + 234=304
Pt England school are buying new sports gear. There is $500 in the sports budget.
They first purchase a basketball hoop for $50 How much money does is left?
50-500=450
They then buy a net for $25. How much do they have left?
450-25=425
Then they buy three tennis balls. Each ball costs $3. How much do they have left?
3x3=9
425-9=416
Finally they buy a netball hoop which costs $100. How much is left in the budget at the end?
416-100=316
Troy has $100 in his wallet. He spends $65.50 on a new PS4 game. How much money does he have left?
100-60=40
40-5.50= 34.5
