Do Protest Work?

What do you think of when you imagine protesters? We think of college students equipped with doc martins, forgetting about our great grandmother, who fought for women's rights. Indeed we  have been protesting nz for over 150 years .

What is a Protest:

A protest can be defined as an objection or complaint. There are different ways to protest, People hikoi, Petition, March meet and strike. A protest usually involves a group of people coming together to fight for a cause.

What Cause a Protest:

Protest usually occurs in response to an event. What causes a protest is when people don’t feel as treated well as other people. For example White people in America are treated well while black american are treated wrong and are accused of stuff that they didn't do.

Do protests actually work?

Protests can work if the government hear what the protesters are saying and make changes so the world can be more peaceful. For example Kate Sheppard, fought for women to vote. She sent out a petition for women’s rights and the government agreed.

In conclusion, people protest about what they want to change. Protests do work and they can make the world a better place to live in.
